It really snowed here yesterday! The forecast called for one inch of snow and we really thought it would be a dusting, if even that, because it was 65 degrees and sunny the day before. It started as rain, then we saw a few flakes and then the flakes got bigger and started to stick. It was a winter wonderland (for us!). We got probably 2 or three inches. The kids had a blast and school is cancelled today.

Random website
My sister in law sent this to me a few months ago. It's a fun site...all about a girl and her crockpot. She is trying to cook all meals for one year in a crockpot! I've tried a few of the breakfast dishes and they were good and one dinner. You just have to be careful about the cooking time because some things are prone to dry out.

Catching Up!

Our poor little blog has been neglected so I'm trying to catch up on what we've been up to for the last few months!
We had a nice holiday season and it seems like it took most of January to get back into the swing of things. I suprised John with an early birthday present by going to Asheville the first weekend of January. My Mom watched the kids. I love Asheville! It was beautiful and we spent time hiking, sightseeing and eating lots of good food. I would love to go back this Summer with the kids. Asheville has a lot of family friendly things to do as well. At the end of January Riley got her haircut for locks of love. 10 inches! I was so proud of her for doing this and love her short hair.
Ginger and I get the kids together once a month for seasonal craft and that has been so fun. In January we did a "three little pigs" craft which Kate absolutely loved! We did kissing fishes for February.
I've been busy studying for the two classes I'm taking this semester....anatomy/physiology and a
citzenship/history class (long story but it's a Georgia requirement!). John has been busy working on our floating dock at the lake. It needs some major repair and it has to get done before the water gets back up! I can't wait for the spring!! He spent all day yesterday there so I took the girls to Callaway Gardens (admission is free in Jan/Feb).
I made it through 4 Valentines classroom parties and John and I went out to dinner with friends on Valentines day.
This week is Winter break and we are staying home but have some fun stuff planned.
